About
I am Ahmad Zia Khan, a PhD candidate in the Agricultural and Environmental Sciences program under the SEA-EU initiative at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Algarve, Portugal. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Horticulture) in 2019 and my Master’s degree in Agriculture (Horticulture) in 2021 from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. Additionally, I served as a visiting researcher at the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) in Adelaide, Australia, under the European-funded project vWISE (Vine and Wine Innovation through Scientific Exchange) from August 2024 to February 2025. With a strong foundation in horticulture, agronomy, and soil sciences, my expertise focuses on enhancing crop quality, increasing production, managing abiotic stress, and ensuring crop uniformity. I am passionate about developing sustainable agricultural solutions and advancing global agricultural practices to meet the challenges of climate change and food security.
