About

Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja and integrated member of the Mediterranean Institute for Agriculture, Environment and Development (MED). He has worked for the last 20 years in the areas of chocolate, product development and new technologies in the ripening of traditional cheeses. He currently coordinates the project CASEUS –Combined use of renewAble energy sources to improve energy efficiency in cheeSE industry. He has participated in multidisciplinary projects in the areas of renewable energy, IoT and AI applied to cheese ripening, and is the author/co-author of several papers indexed in ISI/SCOPUS and in national and international publications, such as book chapters and proceedings. Teaches in the areas of equipment, technical facilities and product development in several short courses, 1st and 2nd cycle courses at the Instituto Politécnico de Beja.
