About
Alberto Júnior Matavel, Mozambican, PhD student in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Évora – Institute of Research and Advanced Training (IIFA).
Graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Engineering of the Eduardo Mondlane University – Mozambique in 2004, and a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Department of Environment and Planning of the University of Aveiro – Portugal in 2012.
Technician at the National Agency for Environmental Quality Control since 2006, with the following responsibilities: Research in sustainable management of coastal and marine natural resources; integrated planning and testing of good natural resource management practices; training communities in the recovery of degraded areas; preparation and implementation of community adaptation projects to climate change; provision of courses on sustainable management of coastal and marine natural resources and climate change. Additionally, he is a part-time professor at the Escola Superior de Negócios e Empreendedorismo de Chibuto – Eduardo Mondlane University - Mozambique, where he teaches the subjects of Agricultural Soils, Agricultural Practices and Agricultural Equipment Management.
