Invited Assistant Researcher at the University of Évora since February 2021, where I currently coordinate the project “Study and Enhancement of Biodiversity, Fauna Component, at the SECIL-Outão Property, 6th Phase”. I hold a PhD in Biology from the University of Évora since December 2020, thesis developed on the effects of landscape fragmentation and connectivity on bird distribution. My professional career in the last 5 years has been mainly focused on applied conservation projects that are based on measuring and reversing the impacts of habitat degradation, habitat loss and fragmentation on species occurrence, community structure and ecological processes; with a focus on producing tools and approaches that empower stakeholders and policy makers in the adoption of sustainable practices (e.g. LIFE14 NAT/PT/001081).
