My name is Mariana Pucarinho Fernandes and I am a biologist with a master's degree in Biologia da Conservação (2015) and a degree in Biologia (2013), both from the University of Évora. Over the last few years, I have participated in several research and conservation projects with multidisciplinary teams. Since the master's degree, I have developed my skills in flora surveys, biodiversity and environmental data collection, flora taxonomy, laboratory work, data processing, and scientific interpretation and writing. My main interests are ecology, biodiversity, botany, ecosystems management, ecological restoration, and biodiversity management at linear infrastructure. Currently, I am a PhD student with an FCT scholarship and collaborate on several projects developed by the botany team.
