About
PhD student in Biology at the University of Évora, with a master's degree in Conservation Biology (2008) and a bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology - terrestrial specialization (2007) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
She carries out research activities in different areas of conservation biology, with a main focus on lichenology and botany, including the conservation and ecological restoration of natural habitats, as well as the management and sustainability of the “montado”. She has participated in projects related to the conservation and promotion of biodiversity, fauna, and flora, including the inventory and dissemination of cryptogamic flora (lichens), studies on environmental impact and monitoring in lichenology, ex-situ conservation of seeds and native flora, mapping and restoration of natural habitats, management plans for classified areas within the Natura 2000 Network, and the environmental enhancement and sustainability of the “montado”. She has also been involved in scientific dissemination and environmental interpretation projects.
She is a collaborator of the MED - Mediterranean Institute for Agriculture, Environment and Development & CHANGE - Global Change and Sustainability Institute, where she is part of the Ecology and Biogeography group.
