Scientific activity: Study of the decline disease of Quercus suber and Quercus rotundifolia aiming at the management of the genetic/biological control of the disease. Studies on molecular interactions Phytophthora cinnamomi-Quercus suber in connection with the infectious process. Study of candidate genes as molecular markers in dairy indigenous species (namely, study of genes of the somatotropic axis in dairy species). Genetic and morphological characterization of indigenous bovine breeds, namely of an extinct Algarvia breed that is now being reconstituted.
