Description

IUFRO is a global network of voluntary cooperation related to forestry and forest products research, which aims to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations. It was established in 1892 as a global, non-profit, non-governmental and non-discriminatory organization, with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. It includes about 650 member organizations from 120 countries representing more than 15000 researchers. It is organized into 9 divisions and more than 50 research groups.MED has been a member of IUFRO since 2022.
