CHANGE | 2nd JUN | Science CHANGing Policy **Update**
The Associate Laboratory CHANGE – Global Change and Sustainability Institute invites all Researchers (including PhD Students) to participate in the networking event Science CHANGing Policy, to take place on June 2nd 2023, in Colégio Luís António Verney, University of Évora. The event will be held in bilingual format (Portuguese/English).
This event aims to establish collaborative relationships between researchers from the three R&D Units that integrate the AL CHANGE, cE3c, MED e CENSE.
The strategic vision aiming at the combination of R&D resources from AL CHANGE will certainly enable a productive debate able to support the development, evaluation and operationalization of innovative and improved public policies with an impact on Global Changes and Sustainability.
CHANGE Researchers are invited to submit abstracts and/or posters to be presented within parallel sessions and the world cafe session, to be organized during the event. The topics of interest for the submissions are associated with the Thematic Lines (TL), namely:
- LT1: Safeguarding and promoting biodiversity and ecosystem services
- LT2: Ensure sustainable food and biomass systems
- LT3: Ensure the preservation and regeneration of natural resources
- LT4: Promote a circular and carbon-neutral economy
- TL5: Strengthen territorial cohesion to reduce disparities
Within the networking event, researchers will be stimulated to share knowledge, discuss and strengthen the connections between scientific/technological knowledge and public policies.
Subsequently to the event the Board of Directors will select the best exploratory projects and ideas resulting from the Network event and will subsidize these small projects. More info on this topic will be presented at the event.
Registrations and submission of abstracts have been extended till May 12th 2023.
PhD students are invited to participate in the parallel sessions and/or the world cafe session with a presentation and/or posters of their authorship whose theme falls at least in one of the Thematic Lines, with the objective of promoting and guiding the discussion.
