Fraunhofer | Invitation for joint application -Individual call to scientific employment stimulus FCT

The Fraunhofer Portugal Center for Smart Agriculture and Water Management (AWAM) is interested in supporting researchers in the application of the 5th edition of the Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus promoted by Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and being the host entity.
Associação Fraunhofer Portugal Research (Fraunhofer Portugal) is a private non-profit association that promotes and undertakes applied research of direct utility to private and public enterprises and of wide benefit to society. To this end, different Fraunhofer research centers with individual areas of expertise are operated under the roof of Fraunhofer Portugal. The new Fraunhofer Portugal Center for Smart Agriculture and Water Management (AWAM) was recently established, originating from a partnership between the Fraunhofer Society (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft), Fraunhofer Portugal, the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) of Portugal, the Universidade de Évora and the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) in Vila Real.
AWAM invites researchers on all career levels who are active in the fields of sustainable agriculture, water management, bioenergy, or related fields to discuss ideas for a joint proposal to this call.
After internal evaluation, AWAM will select projects which are well aligned with the scientific topics of the research center, support the proposal and application of the applicant, and host the research activities in case of proposal approval by the FCT. For this, AWAM offers excellent research infrastructures at its locations in Vila Real and Évora, a broad international network of cooperation partners, support from the AWAM staff researchers, and outstanding team spirit.
