2 Scholarships for Bachelor’s Degree – GEDI4SMOS Project

A call is open for the awarding of two (2) Research Scholarships (BI) under the project “GEDI4SMOS: Development and testing of computationally efficient methodologies for the combined use of LiDAR, radar, and multispectral data for national characterization of vegetation cover for land occupation mapping purposes,” with the reference CCA931573, funded by the Directorate-General for Territory (DGT).

Scientific Area: Geography, Engineering, and Earth Sciences
 
Admission requirements: be enrolled in a Master’s degree program in one of the scientific areas mentioned in the previous point. Graduates in areas related to Geography, Engineering, and Earth Sciences, or related areas, with skills in:
i) spatial modeling in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in any thematic area, and/or;
ii) photointerpretation of aerial or satellite images and/or processing of satellite images, and/or;
iii) land use/land cover mapping.
 
Application Deadline and Submission Process: The competition is open from October 17 to October 31, 2024, and the selection results will be published by November 14, 2024.
